Beef genetics public sale raises £27k for Ukraine

A charity public sale of beef genetics hosted by auctioneer Harrison & Hetherington has raised £27,000 for the Choose-ups for Peace marketing campaign, which donates 4×4 automobiles to troops in Ukraine.

Angus, Hereford, Limousin and Charolais genetics have been donated from across the UK, with 51 heaps being offered at Borderway market through an internet public sale on 25 and 26 Might.

The occasion was organised by Northumberland-based Aberdeen Angus breeder Daniel Whiteford after he took half in a Choose-ups for Peace supply earlier this 12 months.

Mr Whiteford stated: “Once I went out to Ukraine final month to donate my very own truck, I noticed for myself what the Ukrainian folks have been dealing with, and what a distinction these pickups are making to the twenty fourth Brigade.
