There’s some new issues occurring right here at Poppy Corners, and I feel an replace is warranted.
First up, my summer time class has begun. I’m taking “The Historical past of Environmentalism within the US and California,” and thus far, it’s fairly attention-grabbing, though I’m solely within the second week.
Secondly, I’ve accepted an internship with a non-profit group in Oakland referred to as Mates of Sausal Creek. My job title is ‘Communications and Neighborhood Training Intern,’ and I’ll be engaged on issues as different because the month-to-month publication, restoration initiatives, updating the web site, and main faculty discipline journeys (after they resume). Mates of Sausal Creek works to revive, keep, and shield a watershed which runs from the hills of Oakland all the way in which all the way down to the San Francisco Bay.
