A number of years in the past I attempted to graft a root from this tree again onto this tree. Alas it was unsuccessful.
That is spherical two of root grafting and this time I attempted thread grafting of three roots simply to see if I will be profitable with this “new” methodology. Mid August is an efficient time to repot trident maples in my space and so it stands to cause that it could even be a very good time to use a thread graft? That was my concept anyway and so I chosen the three graft seedlings and away we went.

Now solely time will inform if this has been profitable. It shouldn’t be a protracted wait till the buds open and that would be the first signal that it’s doing nicely.
